The USP CAMPUS LIFE, LAUCALA CAMPUS, is organizing USP FAMILY DAY this year.
Family members of USP staff and students can not only expect a day filled with activities, entertainment and lots of fun for the young and old, but also celebrate being part of the big USP Family!
The aim of the event is to encourage and strengthen USP connection and links to USP students and staff with young families, as well as to help create a stronger sense of the USP Family.
USP Family Day will be held across the other USP Campuses ( including Tuvalu, Alafua, Marshall, Lautoka, Kiribati, Labasa, Solomon Islands and Nauru) in the month of September.
At Laucala Campus, HUNDREDS of families are expected to attend the USP Family Day on Saturday 1st September at the Marine Foreshore (Lower Laucala Campus) from 10am 4pm.
This years activities for the whole family include cultural performances, artists' demonstrations, face-painting, carnival rides and many more activities for the young and old!
Some of the day's FREE activities include:
- Sail on the Uto Ni Yalo
- Live Music
- Pacific Cultural performances
- Free Pop Corns, Snow Ice, and Candy Floss for the children
- Paddle boats
- Bouncy castle
- Carnival rides for kids and adults
- Milo and Nescafe drinks (kindly provided by Nestle Fiji Ltd)
- Face painting
- Children and adults' fun games
A number of food vendors will be selling food at the venue. You are also encouraged to bring your own picnic lunch from home.
Children will also get a glimpse of fire fighting skills performed by the National Fire Authority of Fiji. The SMOKE HOUSE, will also be setup for the children to experience and learn more about fire safety issues.
All USP staff and students with children are encouraged to come along and enjoy a day of fun-filled activities. Please bring your own mats as tents and marquees will be provided at the venue.
